Who we are:
We declare God’s greatness in every culture through the Jesus life.
We like to say it like this: “It’s all about knowing Jesus and making Him known!”
We do this by creating environments that enable students to:
CONNECT in God’s family – GROW in God’s truth – SHARE in God’s mission
What we do:
Every Sunday, September – May at (Garden City, Lee’s Summit and Adrian Campuses), we have Bible Study geared to students at each Heart of Life campus. This is a great place for students to grow in God’s truth.
MOVE 342 (8th-12th Grade)
Move 342 focuses on growth, community, and discipleship. Every Wednesday evening, students gather at the Lee’s Summit campus for games and a large-group time, followed by smaller “Life Team” groups. Each Life Team is led by two HOL adult leaders. Move 342 is a time for students to encourage one another and keep each other accountable. The name Move 342 is inspired by 2 Chronicles 34:2. In this passage, a young king “did what was right in the eyes of the Lord” despite the temptation of the world.
Move342 Primetime (7th Grade)
Summer Camp and Mission Trip
Summer Camp focuses on growth, community and discipleship. It is a time for our students to leave distractions behind and join with other students for a week of worship, small group Bible Studies and team building fun! The student mission trip focuses on service, community, and growth. Students gather as a team to serve by meeting physical and spiritual needs. In the past, students have led VBS for children, cleaned homes, worked at homeless shelters, etc. We believe that God has called us to make disciples of all nations!
The annual Student Auction focusses on community and service. HOL members volunteer to donate services and items to be auctioned. All proceeds go to financially assist students to attend the annual summer camp or any of the HOL mission trips. The event includes dinner, live entertainment, and the auction. Being the only fundraiser that is done the auction is very important to us in assisting our students to serve and grow.
It is our privilege to assist you in the development of your student. We hope that our ministry is an asset to your family. We have compiled the policies and principles that we seek to operate the student ministry by in the handbook available by clicking here.
